Terms of Service

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Hook is in free beta. It's built and run by its founder and hasn't incorporated as a company yet — when it does (and before any paid plans launch), these terms will get formal legal review and be updated with full business details. Everything below is accurate to what the app actually does today.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hook, a call-navigation and script-building tool for sales teams (the "Service"), operated independently by its founder, Chris Krause. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who can use Hook

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Hook. Hook is intended for business use by sales professionals and their teams — you're responsible for making sure your use of it complies with your employer's policies if you're using it in a work context.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away through the in-app suggestion box (Menu → Suggestions) if you think your account has been compromised.

Beta status

Hook is currently offered as a free beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change as the product develops, and we'll do our best to give you notice before anything that materially affects your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" during this beta period, without guarantees of uptime or feature stability.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

You're solely responsible for complying with telemarketing, do-not-call, and data protection laws that apply to your own calling activity — Hook is a tool to help you deliver a script; it doesn't make your outreach compliant on its own.

Your content

You own the scripts, notes, and other content you create in Hook. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display that content back to you (and to your teammates, where applicable) solely to provide the Service — including sending relevant inputs to Anthropic's AI when you use the "Generate with AI" feature, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content

Scripts generated by the "Generate with AI" feature are AI-generated suggestions based on the information you provide. We don't guarantee they're accurate, complete, compliant with any particular law or regulation, or effective for your business. You're responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated script before using it on real calls.

Our intellectual property

The Hook software, design, and branding are our property. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or underlying code beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.

Termination

You can stop using Hook at any time; to have your account and data deleted, ask through the in-app suggestion box (Menu → Suggestions). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or, during the beta period, that are inactive or if we discontinue the Service — we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hook and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost sales, lost data, or business interruption.

Governing law

Hook has not yet incorporated, so these Terms don't name a governing state yet — they're a plain-English agreement offered in good faith for the free beta. A formal governing-law provision will be added when Hook incorporates, before any paid plans launch.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify active users by email.
